How to Graph the quadratic Function

The Steps:

1.       The teacher give the students some problem of quadratic equation. Such as y = x^2+3x-8

2.       And then, the students should the to the find how to graph of a quadratic equation

3.       The next is the steps in the process to graphs

4.       Determine the intersect point of x_1,2 axis =0. Use factorization or ABC formula.

5.       Determine the intersect point of y axis , x=0

6.       So, we get a point (X₁ , 0) (X₂ , 0)

7.       And you can sketch the point in Cartesian diagram

8.       After that, determine the line of symmetry,  x= b/2a

9.       Connect the points, so we get parabolic graph

10.   And then, plot the point (x, y) that you have found into Cartesian diagram.

Dear students

          I’m the new teacher. My name is Ratu Bulkis but you can call me miss Ratu. I’m degree from sampoerna school of education with the mathematics department education.I'm mathematics teacher in your class

Welcome to my class. This is the our new class and  new semester. Now you has become students at the grade tenth, in the second semester. For the subject topic in this semester, we will learn about relation and function, quadratic function, equation function, etc. In our class i hope you can be active, respect each other, can enjoy in the class,  everyone had a wonderful, and you can get a good score in this subject. Amen

Do you know if me is the new teacher and i have not know all of you are. So i want to introduce yourselves to one by one. And than before we start for a lesson today i wanna sharing about my experience. Do you know guys,  if before I’m become a teacher in this school  i have taught in some senior high schools in Jakarta which a teaching that are different subject. Such as, i have become a physics teacher, biology and mathematics with the work experience during the 5 years and the last teaching in senior high school HARAPAN BUNDA. maybe enough i sharing about my experience. For me to becomes a teacher was a profession is a that precious, full of challenges but fun.
