This is my story when I like
mathematics for the first time. It was happen when I started my math cram
school with my teacher in senior high school. Well, why I want to study with
her? Because in junior high school, the material of math so difficult such as
algebra, geometry, and etc. There are so complicated and abstract for us. In
the quiz time, whole of my class got bad score for algebra quiz. Then, because
our teacher cares with our math score, she suggested me to add my math study
time with cram school. First time our meeting, I was still confused about
algebra. How can we add the same variable and then we find the solution?
But, in the second meeting, I have
gotten the way or pattern. My teacher explained it very clearly. Then, when we
got the quiz and exam, I got good score and also with my friends. Until 9th
grade, I got different teacher in school. The way to solve the problem little
bit different with my cram school teacher. Then, I got middle score in final
exam (odd semester). It makes me shock when I looked my score. Then, I checked
my answer with my friends. It was same answer and then I asked with my teacher.
My teacher said “I don’t know how come you can solve this problem. Are you
cheating when examination?” I was shock when I heard that. I explained my
answer again in front of her. Then, he gave me question and I can answer it. My
teacher said to me “Okay, you are right. You can answer it”. Because of it, my
score can improve but it same with remedial score (KKM).
From it, I learn mathematics is
“one destination but many ways to reach it”. People have different ways to
solve mathematics. We cannot judge it wrong but we must analyze it first.
